My vision for Lane Cove

My policies

  • I want to see activities supported that nurture community resilience and creativity among all age groups and protect our environment.

    I’m an advocate for:

    • A dedicated local performing arts space

    • A sustainability hub

    • Accelerated household food waste collection

    • Localised climate action & support for net zero emissions by 2030

    • More council support for green energy and renewables initiatives for households and local businesses such as community solar and more smart green strata buildings.

    • Local mental health support & activities to support young people.

    • Support for the Uluru Statement of the Heart and more recognition and acknowledgement of the original custodians of this land, the Cameraygal people.

I believe we need to work together now to mitigate the negative impacts on our community from the climate crisis.

  • We need smart development in Lane Cove that balances the needs of people and the environment now and into the future.

    I’m an advocate for:

    • An open space strategy & fair, balanced access to our public space

    • No synthetic grass at Bob Campbell Oval - we need to consider context and environmental and community concerns

    • Fighting against privatisation of public spaces like 266 Longueville Rd

    • Protection of bushland habitats from encroaching development

I’m deeply concerned about what is happening at Kingsford Smith Oval, 266 Longueville Road and Bob Campbell Oval.

The community tensions are symptomatic of a complete lack of leadership from this council in consideration of public space planning.

  • People don’t feel heard and it seems they’re often the last to know about decisions that impact them. It’s also hard to get council to get back to you!

    I’m an advocate for:

    • A new Community Engagement Strategy that meets expectations of our community

    • Innovation in community consultation - less box ticking, more co-design and community collaboration

    • More transparency in council decision-making and reporting

    • Investment in a new council website

    • Improved council customer service response: we need a service level agreement that they respond in a timely and appropriate manner

  • I want to connect Lane Cove’s people and places better, and support safe active transport options like walking and cycling.

    I’m an advocate for

    • Initiatives to reduce our reliance on private transport, reduce local CO2 emissions, and build community.

    • More local electric vehicle charging points.

    • A local bus service and effective traffic management for all people and road users to reduce congestion and improve pedestrian and driver safety.

“As your independent councillor for Lane Cove Council, I work tirelessly, with creativity and a collaborative attitude, to advocate for the local community”

I’m up in the plaza talking to the community. Check out all the dates and come say hi!

The Lane Cove we all love hasn’t been achieved by accident.

It’s a reflection of our community.

I want to enable that community to have more of a voice at council.

As an independent councillor for Lane Cove Council, I work tirelessly, with creativity and a collaborative attitude, to advocate for local residents and businesses.

My husband and I have chosen to build our life and raise our children here because we value the green environment, people, community, and convenience.

But our area isn’t immune to the pressures of a rapidly growing Sydney.

I work alongside Lane Cove residents and businesses to develop practical and creative solutions to improve our area and maintain what we love about it for residents now and in the future.
